Interestingly, my colleagues said that the installation worked fine on Windows 7 and 8. If the sanity check doesn't pass, it would just fail. So I suppose UpdateDriverForPlugAndPlayDevices does a sanity check on the driver before it installs anything. ![]() Once I have that error fixed, then the driver is installed without any issue. I ran CHKINF on my.inf file, and it reported an error in its VERSION section (ClassGUID refers to a string variable rather than a GUID outright). ![]()
